There were a number of issues on the national rail network today:

  • Fatality at Hilsea situated between Havant and Portsmouth Habour (TOC: First Great Western, South West Trains, Southern)
  • Person hit by a train at Southall situated between London Paddington and Reading (TOC: First Great Western, Heathrow Connect, Heathrow Express)
  • Fatality at Swaythling situated between Eastleigh and Southampton Central (TOC: CrossCountry, South West Trains)

  • Signalling issues between Tondu and Bridgend (TOC: Arriva Trains Wales)
  • Overhead wire problems at Rugby (TOC: London Midland, Virgin Trains)
  • Obstruction on the line between Moorgate and Hertford North (TOC: First Capital Connect)
  • Signalling issues between Bournemouth and Southampton (TOC: CrossCountry, South West Trains)
  • Emergency engineering works between Liverpool Central and Kirkby (TOC: Merseyrail)
  • Signalling issues in the Kentish Town area (TOC: First Capital Connect)
  • Signalling issues between Bourne End and Marlow (TOC: First Great Western)
  • Over-running engineering works at St. Helens Central situated between Liverpool Lime Street and Wigan North Western (TOC: Northern Rail)
  • Over-running engineering works at St. James Park situated between Exeter and Honiton / Exmouth (TOC: First Great Western, South West Trains)
